KIM KARDASHIAN PUSHES CONGRESS TO RECOGNIZE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE: Reality star turned prison reform advocate Kim Kardashian called on Congress Tuesday to vote on a bill that would recognize the Armenian Genocide. More than 1.5 million Armenians are believed to have been slaughtered, though the Turkish government disputes the genocide. Kardashian, who is of Armenian descent, wrote to her 62 million followers: "This is personal for me, and millions of Armenians who descended from genocide survivors. Call Congress and tell them it's time to act!" The House passed the resolution Tuesday 405-11.
EMMA THOMPSON ASKS RESTAURANT TO NOT FIRE WAITER: Emma Thompson is defending a waiter who requested a selfie with her and other celebs at an upscale restaurant in London, Brown's. Although she declined to pose for the picture, she doesn't want the waiter to get in trouble. Thompson learned that the server was suspended without notice, and has reportedly called the restaurant to ask that the server not lose their job.
POLICE DETAIN MAN WHO SHUT DOWN JOKER SCREENING: Police have detained a man who stood up and started shouting "Allahu akbar!" (which translates to "God is great") during a screening of Joker in Paris. Filmgoers were reportedly thrown into a panic, and ran to the exits. The 34-year-old is now being held for observation.
JIM EDMONDS' DAUGHTER SLAMS MEGHAN KING EDMONDS: Jim Edmonds' daughter came out swinging for him in a conversation with Us Weekly, defending him against claims he cheated on wife Meghan King Edmonds with their nanny. TYLER CAMERON ON GIGI HADID BREAKUP: The Bachelorette runner-up Tyler Cameron is addressing his breakup with supermodel Gigi Hadid. He tells People TV that the best part of their relationship was: "Just meeting someone that was great. She's a great person, and I met a great friend. She's someone that I have a lot of respect for and think highly of, so I met a great person." He adds: "It wasn't like a bad breakup or anything like that. It was just, we're at different parts of our lives right now. We're just friends."
