JASON MOMOA LEANS INTO MAKE-A-WISH: Jason Momoa, 39, just made his first appearance on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and he couldn't be more excited to do it again. The Foundation allows children battling chronic illnesses to, as the name implies, make their wishes come true. He gave two kids an inside look at Warner Bros. Studios, where some of the costumes for its biggest franchises, including the Batman costume and the Batmobile, as well as the Aquaman throne and his costumes, live. He shared pics from the day on social media, and it's hard to say who's more excited: the kids or Momoa.
SELMA BLAIR SHOWS OFF SHAVED HEAD: Selma Blair posted a shot of newly shaved head on Instagram, writing that she is ready to celebrate after a tough round of treatment for her multiple sclerosis. "Today is a banner day. I am being discharged from the care of an incredible team of nurses and techs and a visionary Dr. who believes in my healing as much as I do," she writes in her Instagram post. "This has been a process. And will continue to be one. I am immunocompromised for next three months at least. So no kisses please. I wanted to make sure all complications here were my private space. And we got through brilliantly." She adds: "I thank you all for your love and support and that extra dose of great with a @people cover. I see things so much more clearly now. And I am excited to share this journey when I am ready. For now, I have recovery."
OITNB's TARYN MANNING SPEAKS OUT: Orange Is the New Black star Taryn Manning posted a message on Instagram saying she would not be at the premiere for the beloved Netflix show Thursday night. She captioned a shot of the cast on set: "I love you all so much. Have a great premiere tonight. I love this photo. I miss you all so much. I wish I could be there. Unfortunate uncontrollable circumstances that no one could help with have made it this way. When someone is crying for help from someone who is after your life and soul. Please listen." She continued, "This is for anyone who feels alone, terrorized by cyber criminals, cyber bullying, criminals with the intent to cause others distress and isolate them from life, for people who have lost everything due to another humans mental illness and smear campaigns. This is for you too so you don't feel so alone. It even happens to people who seemingly have the resources to stop it too."When fans expressed concern, she wrote: "And no I am not Suicidal. You wish. I'm crushed and making a point how no one cares when you're down."
ROMAN POLANSKI RETURNS TO SPOTLIGHT: After being expelled from the Academy for his rape conviction, director Roman Polanski is returning to the spotlight. The director will screen his new film J'Accuse at the 2019 Venice International Film Festival in late August, it was announced Thursday. It will be his first public appearance since being ousted from the Academy in May of 2018.
STEPHANIE PRATT OPTS OUT OF THE HILLS: After slamming her co-stars on social media, Stephanie Pratt responded to fans on social media who wanted to know if she'd return for a second season of The Hills: New Beginnings, with a simple "no."
