Leave it to actress Shannen Doherty to find a silver lining in breast cancer. The 47-year-old Charmed actress opened up with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America in her first live interview since being diagnosed with cancer about her fresh new outlook on life.

"Everything’s going really well," she told Roberts. "You hear the word remission, and it’s a rush of different emotions, right? It’s like, ‘What’s next?’ There’s a little bit of fear and apprehension. I felt lost for a second. I was like, ‘Now what?’ My whole life has been about this battle, what felt like my whole life."

She continued, "But then it sort of starts seeping in, and then you get joyous, and you get so excited, but you got to wait for that five-year mark, and then the 10-year mark, so remission is a crazy word to me."

But no regrets! "I think it made me a better actor, I also think it made me a better human being," she said. "It takes down all your walls, all your barriers, everything that life sort of threw at you...you're guarding yourself so yea, that all comes tumbling down."

Doherty can next be seen in Lifetime’s No One Would Tell, premiering Sunday.

Teigen, who was been open about her struggles with fertility and depression following the birth of her first child, Luna, tells a dubious Braver that placenta consumption is the norm in Tinseltown. "I'm in L.A., it's very normal. They grill it here! You can try some of mine after," Teigen laughed.

Teigen, who is married to singer John Legend, also explains that she wrote her bestselling cookbook Cravings (and the forthcoming sequel) because she just wants to enjoy her family and life.

"I really prefer being happy and getting to eat things that I love, still wanting to be healthy," Teigen said. "But I just don't care about looking good in a swimsuit anymore. I guess that's the only way to put it."

Sunday’s Best will be broadcast Friday, Sept. 14 at 8:00 p.m. on CBS.

Designing Women creator Linda Bloodworth-Thomason is sharing her Les Moonves story. In The Hollywood Reporter, she claims the ousted CBS CEO effectively banned her from the network after she created highly successful shows.

She writes: "People asked me for years, 'What happened to you?' Les Moonves happened to me."

Bloodworth-Thomason continues, writing that while she was never sexually "harassed or attacked" as other women have said they were by Moonves, he subtly destroyed her career. In 1992, she was given a $50 million writing and producing contract, the largest in the network’s history, but that when Moonves took his place as CEO in 1995, all of her pilots were shot down.

In addition to her own story, Bloodworth-Thomason shares an anecdote of him harassing and abusing a female star whose show had just been cancelled.

She writes: "He informed her that she was too old to be on his network. She began to cry and stood up to go. He stood up too, taking her by the shoulders and telling her, ‘I can’t let you leave like this.’ She reacted, suddenly touched. Then he shoved his tongue down her throat. I know this happened because the star is the person who told me."

"The truth is, Les Moonves may never be punished in the way that he deserves," Bloodworth-Thomason writes. "He will almost certainly never go to jail. And he has already made hundreds of millions of dollars during his highly successful and truly immoral, bullying, misogynist reign."

After making remarks that many interpreted as anti-#MeToo to The Hollywood Reporter, his appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon was canceled. ICYMI, in the interview with THR, he said that he was "happy the #MeToo movement has slowed down a little bit," and suggested that it was time for everyone to forgive Louis C.K. and Roseanne Barr.

The comedian visited Howard Stern’s radio show Wednesday to discuss the fallout. Macdonald said that he showed up to do the show and was approached by a "concerned" looking Fallon who asked, "How should we play this?"

Macdonald told Stern: "Part of the reason I love Jimmy is because he does nothing about the news. He’s just a song-and-dance man. He’s not a political comedian."

Macdonald balked at opening the show with an apology, and said that eventually, Fallon returned explaining that senior producers were "crying" over his appearance.

"Jimmy said, ‘Come back whenever you want, but I think it will hurt the show tonight,'" Macdonald related. "I said, ‘Jimmy, that’s the last thing I want to do, is hurt your show.’ "

Regarding the #MeToo movement, he said: "I’m totally behind the #MeToo movement. I never said that the victims didn’t go through anything. What I was saying was the reason to put Louis and Roseanne together to talk was because only a few people in the whole world have gone through this new thing where everything is stripped from them … I wasn’t saying that was way worse than what victims went through. What the victims went through is horrible."

Serena Williams lost the U.S. Open women’s final to Naomi Osaka on Saturday, after arguing with the umpire, who accused her of getting illegal coaching from her player box and gave her a violation.

"I don’t cheat to win. I’d rather lose," the 23-time Grand Slam champ, 36, told the Chair Umpire, explaining that she’d gotten a thumbs up and that was not coaching. She subsequently smashed her racket and was given a code violation warning that led to a point penalty.

She told the umpire, "I didn’t get coaching. You owe me an apology. I have never cheated in my life. I have a daughter and I stand for what’s right for her. I have never cheated. You owe me an apology."

Still frustrated, she said, "Say you’re sorry. How dare you insinuate that I was cheating? You stole a point from me. You’re a thief too."

She was given a game penalty and demanded that the tournament umpire be brought onto the court, where she continued her complaint.

Shortly afterward Williams lost the match 2-6, 4-6, and while the players embraced, Williams refused to shake Ramos’ hand. Boos could be heard echoing across the court and Osaka, 20, was in tears as the winner’s presentation began and Williams put her arm around her.

  • In her runners-up speech, Williams’ voice broke as she said, "I don’t want to do questions. She played well, this is her first Grand Slam. I know you guys were rooting, but let’s make this a great moment. Let’s not boo. Let’s be positive. Congratulations, Naomi. No more booing. Thank you to my team, you guys are amazing. Thank you to the crowd, you guys really are the best in the world. I really hope to play here again. It’s been tough here for me. but thank you so much."
  • Williams will be fined $17,000 for 3 separate code violations during the tennis tournament's final.

    -$4,000 for a coaching violation.

    -$3,000 for smashing her racquet.

-$10,000 for verbal abuse towards the umpire.

This cover is just as dangerous & misguided as celebrating size zero models." Holliday responded with a tart tweet: "To everyone saying I'm a burden to the British health care system, I'm American so you don't have to worry about my fat a--. Worry about what horrible people you are by whining about how me being on the cover of a glossy magazine impacts your small minded life."

Peter Dinklage and Charlie Heaton are the latest stars to be criticized for roles they’ve chosen.

Game of Thrones’ Dinklage has spent a great deal of time trying to get a film about a fellow celeb with dwarfism, Hervé Villechaize, funded and produced. And now that My Dinner With Herve is set for HBO, he is opening up about criticism he’s gotten for playing a Filipino actor.

But, as Dinklage points, out, he was French, not Filipino. "The internet is the best thing and the worst thing. The funny thing about the backlash is it addresses what we address in the film about not judging a book by its cover. Hervé was judged by how he looked, and cast and perceived to be who he is accordingly," Dinklage told the outlet.

He continued: "There’s this term ‘whitewashing.’ I completely understand that. But Hervé wasn’t Filipino. Dwarfism manifests physically in many different ways. I have a very different type of dwarfism than Hervé had. I’ve met his brother and other members of his family. He was French, and of German and English descent. So it’s strange these people are saying he’s Filipino. They kind of don’t have any information."

A charity for people with disabilities is slamming the BBC for casting Stranger Things’ star Heaton as the main character in a remake of The Elephant Man. The 24-year-old is slated to play Joseph Merrick, a severely disfigured man who becomes known as the Elephant Man.

A disability equality charity named Scope is saying that a disabled actor should get the role.

"It's disappointing that a disabled actor has not been cast in the remake of The Elephant Man, as it's one of the most recognizable films to portray a disabled character," the charity said in a statement.

"This is a missed opportunity but sadly, a lack of diversity in the industry is nothing new. Disabled actors still often face huge barriers to break into the business. Not only are the roles few and far between, but castings and locations are often not accessible. There is a massive pool of disabled talent being overlooked."

The last of four hackers who leaked private nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence and other female stars in 2014 was sentenced to eight months in prison, according to the United States Attorney’s Office in the District of Connecticut.

George Garofano, 26, pleaded guilty in April to a phishing scheme that ultimately garnered private photographs and videos of Lawrence, Kate Upton, Kirsten Dunst, Meagan Good and many more. Their photographs and videos were then dispersed online.

Meanwhile, Lawrence also discussed her approach to diet and fitness with Vogue. The 28-year-old Oscar winner said she tries to balance junk with good stuff.

"I don't like when people say, 'I only do this or eat this,'" she told Vogue, "Because I eat. I'm not very strict with my diet: If I want a piece of pizza, I eat a piece of pizza."

"But I do work out more than normal because I have a certain way that I want to look, and a way that I want to fit into my clothes," she continues. "I get photographed when I'm not asking for it, so there's added pressure to look and feel your best."
