Back in the day, Dax Shepard got around. The 44-year-old appeared on Dr. Phil McGraw’s podcast "Phil in the Blanks" to dish on his pre-marriage sex life.

"I'd say I've had what could maybe be called a sex addiction at some point in my life," said Shepard, who has been married to Kristen Bell since 2013. "Not one that I had to seek treatment for, but..."

Well, McGraw, said, "There are worse addictions!"

"There are worse addictions, yes," Shepard said with a laugh.

Shepard recalled: "I would just say, 'I've had sex with a lot of people. I like to do it. It's healthy. Who cares? I'm not getting diseases. I'm single. Whatever.'"

He said realized he had a problem after a fight with a girlfriend he didn’t name.

"I hung up the phone, I was driving in the car and I immediately got horny," the actor recalled. "Now, that is a biochemical feeling; I'm getting a serotonin dump. Whatever I'm getting, that's a physiological thing: horniness. So, I'm just feeling authentically horny. And I think, 'Hmm, I'm going to text this girl I know.' And I text this girl—and there was a delay. And then I just had this moment of clarity. I was like, 'That's suspicious. I just felt disempowered by my girlfriend and immediately I got horny. Could me brain be, like, taking care of me?'"

McGraw concurred, but added later that it didn’t sound like a sexual addiction that warranted treatment. "For every thought you have there’s a physiological corollate," McGraw said. "There’s no thought that you have that’s there’s not some hydraulic in your body that goes along with it. I mean, think about a dill pickle. Think about biting into a dill pickle and crushing it, you feel it crunch. The vinegar explodes in your mouth. What happens? You start salivating, right? For every thought there’s something like that that happens."

Model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen has never been one to put up a façade in interviews. The mother of baby Miles and 2-year-old Luna, and wife of John Legend, covers the February issue of Good Housekeeping and inside, dishes on how she went from being swimsuit model to laughing about her stretch marks on Twitter, (mostly) without shedding a tear.

She says: "Every morning when I look at myself in the mirror, I'm like, 'Oh, my gosh, how did it get here? My baby was, like, four pounds and I gained, like, 60 pounds, and that seems off!' But, you know, I think everyone’s body is just really different. That's why, my posts of real mom s**t, and wearing the diaper, and having that mesh thing, and real postpartum business? I think as important as it is for people to see me do that, it’s also really important for me."

Teigen adds that we live in such a hyper-filtered world, seeing a normal mom bod comes as a shock. "I think, in a way, we've forgotten what a regular body looks like," she continues. "There are people out there who are struggling and I'm struggling, and it's OK to come to terms with that being OK, to realize that it's gonna be a bit of a journey."

And when she thinks of what she got, Teigen says she’s OK with the extra weight. "This is a new thing that I can change within my mind, that I don't have to be swimsuit model anymore," she adds. "I get to be a mommy, and I get to cook, and I get to meet incredible people, and I'm happy to be going through this transition."

Katherine Schwarzenegger seemed to have a good feeling about current fiancé Chris Pratt, well before they first met. (To be fair, many women probably shared that feeling, but still…)

In an unearthed interview with Access from August 2017, a full 10 months before the pair were first linked by enterprising paparazzi, the 29-year-old Rock What You’ve Got author expressed a preference for Pratt among the famous Chris trio (the other options, of course, being Evans or Hemsworth), after a little hemming and hawing.

"Chris Evans," she said, but then changed her mind. "Actually, Chris Pratt," she concluded. "Chris Pratt’s been looking good lately, so you never know."

The pair were first photographed together in June of 2018 on a picnic in Santa Barbara. They got engaged over the weekend; he proposed with a stunning oval diamond that reportedly cost upwards of $400K.

"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!" Pratt, 39, captioned an Instagram picture of them Sunday, January 13. "I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!"

So how did he tell his ex-wife Anna Faris that he was moving on when they just signed their divorce papers in 2017?

On Tuesday’s Anna Faris Is Unqualified, she broke it down.

"Chris texted me this morning and he was like, you know, 'I proposed to Katherine last night,'" she recalled. "I was like 'Ah! That's amazing.'

She then reminded him that’s she’s available to officiate.

"And I texted him back, 'Just want to remind you, I'm an ordained minister,'" she said, joking she's "not very good at it."

Faris seems pretty chill about it, TBH.

"I knew that it was going to happen," she said at one point. "I love her, and I love him, and I'm just so happy that they found each other."

The pair co-parent Jack, 6.

"There is a truth with neurogedenerative brain disease," she explained in the Instagram post's caption. "It is uncomfortable. It is a stadium of uncontrollable anxiety at times. Going out, being sociable holds a heavy price. My brain is on fire. I am freezing. We feel alone with it even though the loving support has been a god-send and appreciated."

She continued: "People write me asking how I do it. I do my best. But I choke with the pain of what I have lost and what I dare hope for. and how challenging it is to walk around. But my smiles are genuine. This is ok. Life is an adventure with many shards of awakening. I can’t sleep at night but daytime I have trouble staying awake. I am a grown woman holding onto a bear that belonged to a sister type of mine."

The 46-year-old then explained how she deals with her symptoms.

Chris Pratt is keeping fans in the loop on his so-called Daniel Fast, a 21-day commitment to prayer and fasting. The 39-year-old Jurassic World star hit up Instagram Stories to explain his journey: "OK, hi, Chris Pratt here. Day three of the Daniel Fast, check it out, it's 21 days of prayer and fasting. And it's gonna coincide also coincidentally with the Lego Movie 2 junkets, so by the time you see me, I'll probably be hallucinating. Stay tuned."

A website devoted to the Fast explains: "The Daniel Fast is based on the fasting experiences of the Old Testament Prophet. It's a partial fast where some foods are eaten while others are restricted. Most people use this method of fasting for 21 consecutive days."

The guidelines are strict: water is the only beverage allowed and you can only eat foods from seed; whole grains and legumes are allowed, as are liquid oils. Nuts and seeds make the cut too.

On the banned list: all meat, animal and dairy products. Deep fried foods and sweeteners are also not allowed.

Pratt took a break from his Fast to thank police officers on National Law Enforcement Day Wednesday. He shared a text photo that reads: "Thank you to all police officers who keep our communities safe!"

In the caption, the 39-year-old Guardians of the Galaxy star also thanked his brother specifically: "Today on National Law Enforcement day I want to give a shout to my brother Cully who’s been a cop for 15 years after serving in the Army for eight. Love you bro! Thank you! He and his brothers and sisters in blue put their lives on the line every day for their communities. They’ve answered a call to public service that is demanding and often unappreciated. On National Law Enforcement Day, we have an opportunity to thank them for their service and offer a token of respect."

After booking her star-making Jane the Virgin gig, Gina Rodriguez’s life changed forever … and it hasn’t always been a good thing. Speaking to Cosmopolitan for the February issue (she also graces the cover), the 34-year-old says she actually had her first panic attack a few years into her stardom.

She says: "The anxiety stated coming, like, two years into Jane," adding that she "had my first panic attack at a sushi restaurant. All of a sudden, I thought I was going to die, and people are taking pictures. It was horrendous."

She explains that being famous wasn’t everything she thought it would be. Rodriguez says: "There are a lot things in the manual of living out your dreams that you don’t know about. Like you don’t have any more friends. You never go out to eat. You never see your family, your boyfriend, girlfriend, or whatever you have."

Rodriguez says she learned to bury her true self: "It’s interesting. As a performer, you have to quite literally bury your life … To live out your dreams is a really surreal experience."

There's been a lot of good along with the bad though. Rodriguez says she’s thrilled to represent other versions of Hollywood perfection: "I felt very alone growing up. I didn’t feel represented. I didn’t feel a part of the conversation. And if you see yourself projected, you believe you are worthy, valuable."

She continues: "I let go of the anxiety and the fear of not looking beautiful. Because it’s not about the picture. It’s about the fact that I stand on this cover with every Latina who wished she saw herself reflected. Because it’s not my face —it’s the 55-million-plus girls who are like, ‘Holy s—! We belong.’"

She says that her relationship with fiancé Joe LoCicero is a radical departure for her. "Dating Joe was a new experience for me because I put myself first. … As a successful woman, it is so hard because of our cultural norms that, like, the man has to be the breadwinner! And the man has to be the more powerful one. It was so difficult for me to find a man who didn’t want me to dim my light for his ego."

Jane the Virgin returns for its final season on the CW March 27th.

Emmy Rossum covers the February issue of Shape, and inside, she opens up about her wellness philosophy and why she decided to leave Shameless (a move that devastated fans).

Rossum’s reasoning for leaving her Showtime series will be relatable to anyone who’s left a job they loved right as it was beginning to wear thin. She says: "I made 110 episodes playing the character of Fiona, and it's been an incredible journey. I've learned a lot about myself as a person and as an actor. I want to leave the show while I still love it, and I know the door is open to come back if that feels right. I'm also extremely proud of what I was able to accomplish off-screen, with my negotiation for equal pay and the effect that had on other women in the industry and in general."

She’s referencing her successful 2016 move to lobby Showtime so she could make as much as her costar William H. Macy.

Next up, Rossum is directing an episode of Amazon’s anthology series Modern Love, and she’s hoping to do more behind the camera. Rossum says: "The way I look at it is that the end of one thing is the beginning of something else. I couldn't be more thrilled to spend time writing, directing, and seeing what other characters I want to play. It's both scary and wonderful."

Rossum has long been a body positive wellness advocate; she publicly criticized Kim Kardashian in August for bragging about her weight.

The 32-year-old explains her philosophy: "I think it’s vital that we stop focusing on unimportant things, like a number, and start thinking of our real worth as what we’ve accomplished, as well as the things that make us unique and strong. Your appearance is just one part of you. It doesn’t determine who you are or what you’re capable of."

Rossum says her views have evolved: "Last year I did an overhaul. I started listening to my body about what exercise and food make me feel good and how much sleep I really need. My relationship with exercise has always been a very healthy and committed one, mostly because it has helped me reduce stress and anxiety."

Sarah Silverman’s I Love You, America got canceled by Hulu in its second season, and she is not taking the news in stride.

She shared the news on Twitter, writing: "Well, Hulu cancelled ‘I Love You, America’ and we’re all pretty damn heartbroken. … So in traditional twitter funeral style, I’ll be RTing the love."

Social media users recoiled in horror, with the general reaction being along the lines of one user's lengthy, "BOOOOOOO," and several others calling for other networks (like HBO) to "make it right."

Variety reports that Silverman and her team at Funny or Die are already on it, shopping the series around. In the show, Silverman dissected current events and attempted to cut through the partisanship currently splitting the country up. Melissa McCarthy is opening up about a painful experience in her past. For InStyle’s Bad**s Women Issue (which McCarthy covers), the 48-year-old admits that bad reviews can "kind of" break her heart.

One seemed more than just an assessment of her performance, she recalls; it seemed personal. McCarthy explains: "I always feel like those characters become so real and personal. I really get protective. Years ago I was at a press conference for either The Heat or Tammy, and somebody from a very big organization kept asking me, 'Why do you always feel the need to be so grotesque?' It was a huge interview with maybe 100 people in the room, and he was sneering. I said, 'What are we talking about? I can't answer your question because I don't understand it.' He goes, 'You look sloppy, you're not wearing any makeup, your hair is not done, you're yelling at people.' I was like, 'OK, so have you ever asked this of a guy? I'm playing a character. You need to get out more if you don't think there are real women like that.' He goes, 'Oh, fine, I'm aggressive, call it whatever you want. If you don't want to answer the questions, you shouldn't come to the panel.'"

Sadly, that’s not the only experience she’s had along those lines. She recalls: "I do remember another interview I did for Bridesmaids with somebody who later lost his job for a conversation he had on a bus with someone else. I won't mention names, but just think about it. He kept asking, 'Are you shocked that you actually work in this business at your tremendous size?' He was like, 'Oh, your tremendous size, you can actually work?' I just remember all the blood drained out of me. I thought, 'With my tremendous size, I could tackle you so quickly.' There were two cameras on him, and one was on me, and he went back to that question three or four times, and I just kept talking about the script or how fun Paul Feig was. He was looking around like, 'She's crazy.' When we left, their producer was horrified and said, 'We'll never play what he said. I'm so sorry.' But it happens all the time, to the point where it's fascinating because they don't do it to men. Not to be a jerk or single him out, but when John Goodman was heavier, did anybody ever talk about his girth?"

These attitudes are part of the reason she picks the wide-ranging roles she does, she says: "Even if it's a broad comedy, I think it's important to see people who maybe we shouldn't like, but we like them anyway. Let's not judge people like, 'Ugh, they're obnoxious, they're too much of a people pleaser, or they're grating or harsh.' It's like, 'Yeah, but we all do that.’ I still think it's good to show people who aren't so shined up and pretty and perfect."

Another day, another resurfaced interview scandal. This time, it's celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay who’s making headlines for the wrong reasons. At issue is an interview he gave on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from 2010. In the clip, he interacts with Sofia Vergara in a way that many find unacceptable.

"Did I scare you guys?" Vergara asked Ramsay and Leno during the interview, referencing her screaming in the previous skit. "I never scream like that in real life. It was all acting."

"Only in the bedroom?" Ramsay responded, touching her arm.

"You would never know," Leno said after Vergara made a face and the audience gasped.

Later, Leno referenced a headline that read, If Modern Family wins the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy, Sofia Vergara will run naked down Sunset Blvd. *"

"That's ridiculous. I cannot run," Vergara responded. "Knock yourself out," Ramsay said, apparently in reference to her chest.

When Leno showed a shot of Vergara eating a slice of pizza, Ramsay said: "You seem like you're enjoying that. You had a whole wedge in your mouth at one time?"

"You seem like you're enjoying that. You had a whole wedge in your mouth at one time?"

"You just pick it up and stick it in," Ramsay added

When she presented a dessert she made, Ramsay tried it and called it "s—t fudge."

Users on social media were not amused. Tweeted one, "This is awful behavior sic and shame on a Jay Leno for not stepping in as well," while another wrote, "Sofia Vergara didn't deserve to be treated like this. This is very very uncomfortable."

Other resurfaced videos and tweets have recently gotten Drake, Kevin Hart and Louis C.K. in trouble too. Hart was forced to step down as host from the Oscars as a result of resurfaced homophobic tweets.

JOSH BROLIN CELEBRATES 5 YEARS SOBRIETY: Josh Brolin is getting real about sobriety as he celebrates five years on the wagon. The 50-year-old took to Instagram to share a throwback image from a drunken night out. "Drunk: when you think you’re having a rip roaring time and the next morning you wake up and your brain has broken into a frenzied beehive and your body is shattered shards of sharp glass desperately searching for what fits where and your spirit is being eaten by worms with great white bloodied teeth and your heart has shriveled into a black prune churning your intestines to the point where dysentery feels attractive," he began. "And you can’t remember anything you did so you roll out of bed over last night’s urine and you dial your best friend’s phone number because you recall him lifting you over his head, your whole self, before you hit and broke through the drywall and, you think, a large aquarium," Brolin continued. "And the phone on the other end rings and he picks it up, that clambering for a phone, the clumsiness of a hardline, and you say: 'What did I do last night?!' and he answers, after a great pause: '...Dude...'. #5years."

As he tells Ellen DeGeneres on her eponymous show: "Bill was toasting us. Bill toasted his glass on Viggo’s head, Linda’s head, and then toasts on my head and vodka spills all over my face and is running down into my eyes and in my mouth. And I’m doing the whole interview with an eye closed. Vodka in the eye … it felt like hot acid rolling down my face."

A lot of people, at least my friends, they’re like ‘No, leave it up,’ but I mean, if it’s hurting people’s feelings I don’t ever want to do that. So anyways, good talk. Glad we could have this conversation and I’ll see ya out there." Murray and Dorfman split in 2015.

CBS ACKNOWLEDGES IMPASSE WITH NIELSEN: CBS Corp. says it is at a "contractual impasse" with the media-measurement service Nielsen. In a statement, the network said: "The entire media industry is aware of the need for complete and accurate measurement across platforms. While Nielsen has made some strides in this area, progress has not been what we and many clients would like, and local TV measurement is particularly challenged. Despite this backdrop, Nielsen continues to use their market power to bundle disparate services and raise prices for services that don’t sufficiently address ongoing changes in the industry. As a result, we are currently at a contractual impasse, although we continue to be open to negotiating a fair deal that makes strategic and financial sense for CBS. If we cannot come to an agreement with Nielsen, we will continue to employ the many viable alternatives available to us, including Comscore."

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday to toast his birthday. The lovebirds (as always) got real. Shepard explained that having a birthday so close to the holidays is the "worst" thing ever.

"It's traditionally when you go back to school as a kid. It's like, 'Happy birthday! Go to school!' And then when you get there, there was a big break. So, when they read the happy birthdays over the loud speaker, you're among like 30 people who had birthdays. Nothing special!" the 44-year-old joked.

He continued that even now it’s grim, despite his celeb status: "I can't get more than six people to attend my birthday party—and I'm on television and they know Kristen will be there."

Shepard got emotional though when she asked him what he most wanted for his birthday. He said: "I would say please, please, please give that person love and support for 11 years. Give them two beautiful baby girls—and you're good."

Holding back tears, Bell told him, "You're crying, too!"

"You sit down, young lady!" Shepard joked. "We've heard enough of your questions."

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp may have had a more volatile relationship than was previously suspected. While both of them accused the other of abuse during their contentious 2016 divorce, new legal documents are expected to shed new light on their relationship.

The documents, according to The Hollywood Reporter, are expected to play a central role in Depp’s defamation suit against the U.K. tabloid The Sun.

THR published portions of a deposition in which both parties gave accounts of the alleged abuse.

In an account Heard gave to Blair Berk, an attorney employed by Depp, she reportedly said on August 13th, 2016: "Johnny and I refer to his other personality, the part of him that is present when he beats me up — we call that the monster and have called that the monster for many years. I was petrified of the monster."

That claim was extracted from a 471-page deposition transcript, which THR obtained, along with statements from Heard’s friend Raquel Pennington and the Los Angeles Police Department officers who responded to an altercation at their L.A. penthouse on May 21, 2016. (This is the famous fight that allegedly led to Heard filing for divorce. Photographs of Heard's bruised face also emerged, though Depp has long maintained that the bruises were self-inflicted).

According to Pennington, who came to the penthouse when Heard asked her to, Depp was "swinging around" a magnum bottle of wine and knocking things off the counter with it. She also said she took "dozens of photos" of Heard’s bruises over the years of her relationship with Depp.

The LAPD, meanwhile, stated that they saw no signs of broken items when inspecting the apartment.

Meanwhile, Depp claimed that Heard was the one who was "aggressive and violent." He said she punched him twice on April 21, 2016 after he was late to her birthday dinner.

He claimed that fearing for his own safety, he brought security guards to his apartment on May 21, 2016, and that he never touched her.

A hearing in the U.K. has been set for February 22nd.

Meanwhile, according to a report in Forbes, Disney is seriously mulling firing Depp from its Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Because of salary and insurance requirements, the House of Mouse could save almost $90 million (a hefty helping of its $230 million budget) by losing Captain Jack Sparrow.

Famed shutterbug Bruce Weber is slapping back at accusers who claim he sexually assaulted them.

According to new legal documents filed January 2nd and obtained by TMZ, Weber is claiming that one of the accusers who formally filed a lawsuit initiated contact with him. Models Jason Boyce and Mark Ricketson claimed in December of 2017 that Weber forced them to touch their genitals doing a shoot. Boyce recently tacked on claims that Weber tried to force him into sex trafficking.

Weber has responded, TMZ reports, claiming that Boyce and his agents sent him text messages for years, some of which included "pornographic poses in a desperate attempt to get Mr. Weber's attention."

When Weber didn’t respond, Boyce continued to hound him, he claims, often sending shots "in a blatant attempt to be sexual, posing and bending shirtless in a manner to emphasize his genitals."

He is claiming the shots serve as evidence that Boyce was doing the soliciting, and he wants the sex trafficking allegations dropped from the suit.

Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson returned to stand-up for the first time on New Year’s Eve since posting an alarming note on Instagram a few weeks ago that many people interpreted as suicidal.

Davidson tackled several topics fans were eager to hear about, including what it felt to be discussed on ex-fiancee Ariana Grande’s hit song, "Thank U, Next."

"Here’s the thing about the breakup song. Usually breakup songs you know who it’s about but you don’t really know. That G named all of us," he told the crowd. "Bam. She named all of us. And then, tells us, yeah, he has a big d***."

The 25-year-old admitted that the day the song was released, moments before he was set to appear on SNL, was "sad."

"That s--t came out before I had to put on a f--king duck hat and be like, 'derrrp here's the pizza!' So all my friends were there. It was a sad day. We didn't know it was going to happen."

What shocked Davidson most about the breakup though, was the effect it had on his mother, who’s a school nurse, and has been harassed since the split.

"She was walking in the hallway and some little f--king kid started singing 'Thank U Next' to her. Me, I get it, but my mom?" he said. As punishment, the kid had to sing the song in front of the dean of the school, a former cop.
