OUTRAGE OVER SONJA MORGAN AND DORINDA MEDLEY’S TRANS-PHOBIC COMMENTS

Real Housewives of New York Sonja Morgan and Dorinda Medley issued apologies after getting busted making rude comments about drag and transgender models at New York Fashion Week, but social media isn't having it.

Morgan has hosted several LGBTQ Pride events and has publicly declared "it's obvious I love my gays." She was filmed with fellow RHONY stars Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer and she and Medley made remarks that have rubbed many the wrong way.

Drag queen Miz Cracker and trans model Yasmine Petty hit the runway, and in a now-deleted Instagram Story, Medley can be heard saying of Petty: "Well with a body like that, it's a guy. That's a guy."

Morgan responds: "With a body like that it's a guy, you're absolutely right. Oh lord."

After their commentary was noted (and started trending), they issued an apology to Page Six: "We have a history as longstanding supporters of the LGBTQ community in many ways and apologize for our offensive comments at the fashion show."

Commenters on Twitter weren't impressed, with several calling on Bravo and Andy Cohen to fire them. Wrote one: "So @Andy gonna act like Eddie Murphy's 80s stand up was ;very problematic for him when he was coming up' to try to get a sound bite out of @Instatituss... But he still keeps these two on the payroll?"

KIM KARDASHIAN OPENS UP ABOUT DEPRESSION, MEDICATION

Kim Kardashian appeared on NBC's Today Show Tuesday, and opened up about pursuing treatment after her antibodies tested positive for lupus. (That revelation was made on Sunday's premiere of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.)

The 38-year-old mother of four said she found out more, and while she didn't spill details, she did give hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb a picture of the mental anguish she went through.

Kardashian said: "I did find out, we're gonna talk about it next Sunday. But I was able to find an amazing doctor, Dr. Wallace, and we figured out what the problem is. And I unfortunately had to be put on medication to stop the symptoms. I tried everything natural for the longest time and we chose the best route for me and luckily right now everything is under control. But autoimmune issues are really scary. When you get a diagnosis, and I didn't realize I would be was one of those people, but before I knew what it was, when it was really up in the air, you get in your head and you think of every worst possibility of what's gonna happen and how you're gonna live your life. You really get into this little depression for a minute, I got myself out of it, but it was really scary to get myself through that."

On Sunday's show, Kardashian revealed that her joints were hurting, and even her bones. "Lately, my wrists are starting to hurt again but it's definitely a different feeling," she said during the episode. "I feel this in my bones. It's starting to really worry me. I really have to look into this."

Lupus is an autoimmune disease that leads to inflammation in tissues and organs, according to the Mayo Clinic. There's no cure, but there are treatments available to treat symptoms.

Kardashian is having a busy week: she is in the middle of law school and just launched her shapewear line.

TWITTER PULLS UP A CHAIR AS CHRISSY TEIGEN AND JOHN LEGEND WAR WITH DONALD TRUMP

President Donald Trump launched a Twitter war Sunday night against John Legend and his wife Chrissy Teigen, and the pair returned his fire, much to Twitter's bemusement.

Trump began by slamming the Oscar-winning Legend over his participation in a town hall filmed inside New York's Sing Sing prison, and aired on MSNBC. The special, hosted by NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt, focused on prison reform.

The special did not mention the First Step Act, which Trump signed into law in December. The Act gives nonviolent inmates the ability to shorten their sentences.

Trump tweeted his displeasure, calling Legend "boring" and Teigen "filthy mouthed."

Also: "When all of the people pushing so hard for Criminal Justice Reform were unable to come even close to getting it done, they came to me as a group and asked for my help. I got it done with a group of Senators & others who would never have gone for it. Obama couldn't come close....

And: "....the importance or passage of Criminal Justice Reform. They only talk about the minor players, or people that had nothing to do with it...And the people that so desperately sought my help when everyone else had failed, all they talk about now is Impeaching President Trump!"

RESPONSE

Legend and Teigen appeared to be delighted to have the opportunity to engage.

Legend called on Trump's wife for help. He wrote: "Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody--ANYBODY--will praise you. Melania, please praise this man. He needs you."

Teigen shared: "The absolute best part of his tweet is I literally didn't speak in the special, nor was I mentioned. I'm cackling at the pointless addition of me."

Their tweet storm went viral, with #TeamChrissy and #FilthyMouthedWife trending.

Director Ava DuVernay posted a GIF of a young girl being hyped up by her friend with the caption, "Me walking around with @chrissyteigen from now on," while actress Busy Phillips asked, "I don't understand anything anymore is this normal?"

DWAYNE JOHNSON GIVES HEALTH UPDATE ON KEVIN HART, TALKS CAREER VICTORY

Dwayne Johnson appeared on the premiere episode of NBC's The Kelly Clarkson Show. He appeared in Kevin Hart's place, who was unable to show due to the horrendous crash he was in over Labor Day Weekend. Hart had surgery on his back after fracturing it in three places, but Johnson downplayed any major issues.

Clarkson and Johnson discuss Hart's health: "Everything is good with him, right? Everything is good, I spoke with Kevin, I actually refer to him as my son. I connected with him today. And you know what? These things happen in life and thankfully he was strapped in nicely to his car seat.

To appear on the show in his Jumanji co-star Hart's place, Johnson had to leave his honeymoon early.

"I love the guy, he's one of my best friends," Johnson said. "And honestly, I mean, thank God, it could've been a lot worse. So, he's a lucky man, and he knows it too. I wish him the best and a speedy recovery and I'm gonna see him soon."

Meanwhile, he is also lashing out at haters on social media, including former co-star Tyrese, who long questioned his ability to successfully spin off the Fast & Furious franchise in Hobbs & Shaw. He posted a screenshot of a Deadline story headlines: "Hobbs & Shaw Decks $700M+ At Global Box Office, Rocks Records For F&F Franchise."

He captioned the post, "Assassins quietly play chess loud clowns play checkers. Thank you audiences worldwide for this incredible support and massive win. Very cool and we're grateful for the love #hardestworkersintheroom #hungryhumble #nocandyass"

PIERCE BROSNAN WANTS A FEMALE BOND: Pierce Brosnan is all in on the notion of a female James Bond, a role he played with great success in GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies and others. "Yes!' Brosnan told The Hollywood Reporter when asked about the potential hiring of a woman for the role. "I think we've watched the guys do it for the last 40 years. Get out of the way, guys, and put a woman up there. I think it would be exhilarating. It would be exciting."

HGTV TO UNVEIL BRADY BUNCH HOUSE: A year after snapping up the L.A. home (for $3.5M!) that served as the shell for The Brady Bunch show, the network is revealing its renovation. The 1970s Paramount lot set has been recreated, and a four part series, A Very Brady Renovation, launched Monday. "We could be sitting on a gold mine," says Discovery's Kathleen Finch. "We can't decide until the show is done and America has seen the house again. We go above and beyond to be good neighbors," she says, "because that's our reputation."

JUDGE JERRY LAUNCHES: Jerry Springer's eponymous talk show ran for almost 4,000 episodes, but he's traded his lie detector tests for a gavel. On Monday, Judge Jerry launched across the country on NBC. Springer has a J.D. degree from Northwestern and worked for two firms before transitioning to politics and TV. He tells Deadline of his decision to don judge's robes on TV: "I was getting ready to stop because we'd been doing it for 27 years… it was time to wind it down. Then NBCUniversal Domestic Television Distribution's EVP & General Sales Manager Sean O'Boyle came in to the office about a month before we stopped taping and said ‘I've got this idea; you're a lawyer, why don't we do Judge Jerry'. Just like that. It does roll off the tongue. I can see from a television point of view, why that makes sense, it's a daytime audience, it's conflict, it's my background so I could see it."

ACTORS SIGN UP TO SUPPORT BAFTA'S ELEVATE: Several industry pros with experience in front of and behind the camera have signed on to work with BAFTA on its Elevate program, which aims to mentor professionals from underrepresented groups. Thus far, Years and Years' Ruth Madely, Broadchurch's Georgina Campbell and Paddington 2 casting director Lauren Evans will help lead Elevate.

FELICITY HUFFMAN ASKS FOR NO JAIL TIME, SAYS MOTHERHOOD BEWILDERED HER

Felicity Huffman has pleaded guilty to paying $15,000 to get her daughter's SAT scores boosted and apologized for her role in the college admissions scandal. In exchange for the plea deal, prosecutors want her to serve one month in prison and pay a $20,000 fine.

Huffman's legal team filed a 161-page legal memo asking the judge to give her a year probation and 250 hours of community service. Included in the memo is a personal picture of Huffman, including her life at home with daughters Sophia Macy and Georgia Macy, and the "utter shame" she feels at her participation in the scheme.

"I find Motherhood bewildering," she admitted in her letter.

"In my desperation to be a good mother I talked myself into believing that all I was doing was giving my daughter a fair shot. My own fears and lack of confidence, combined with a daughter who has learning disabilities often made me insecure and feel highly anxious from the beginning."

She also shared her daughter Sophia's horror at her behavior: "When my daughter looked at me and asked me with tears streaming down her face, 'Why didn't you believe in me? Why didn't you think I could do it on my own?' I had no adequate answer for her. I could only saw, 'I am sorry. I was frightened and I was stupid.' In my blind panic, I have done the exact thing that I was desperate to avoid. I have compromised my daughter's future, the wholeness of my family and my own integrity."

Her husband, William H. Macy and co-star Eva Longoria also testified to Huffman's character.

"Motherhood has, from the very beginning, frightened Felicity and she has not carried being a mom easily. She's struggled to find a balance between what the experts say, and her common sense," Huffman said, adding that the scandal has taken a toll on their daughters, who are now seeing a "wonderful family therapist."

"To be sure Felicity's relationship with her daughters exploded . . . rebuilding that relationship will be a long process," he wrote, saying Sophia still has "nightmares" of "FBI agents waking her that morning with guns drawn."

Huffman's sentencing is scheduled for September 13th.

WOODY ALLEN CLAIMS HE’S ‘DONE EVERYTHING’ #METOO WANTS TO DO

Woody Allen is speaking out after Scarlett Johansson defended him and his adoptive daughter, Dylan Farrow, slammed him. Long story short, ScarJo came out swinging for Allen in The Hollywood Reporter, saying she loves him, would work with him "anytime" and believes his side of the story, and implying in the process that she does not believe Farrow's claims that he molested her when she was a child. Allen has long denied the claims.

Farrow responded tersely on Twitter, saying the Johansson is a hypocrite for supporting the #MeToo movement, which urges followers to "always" believe alleged victims.

Now, Allen is speaking out. He is addressing the backlash he's faced and why he should be a poster boy for #MeToo, instead of its whipping boy.

"I've worked with hundreds of actresses and not one of them has ever complained about me, not a single complaint. I've worked with, employed women in the top capacity, in every capacity, for years and we've always paid them exactly the equal of men," he says in an interview with France24. "I've done everything that the #MeToo movement would love to achieve."

His latest film, Rainy Day in New York, was shelved by Amazon in the U.S., but opened at the Deauville Film Festival in France Friday. Several stars, including Timothee Chalamet and Rebecca Hall, who are featured in Rainy Day, have expressed regret over working with him in the past, and said they won't work with him again in the future.

Still, Allen believes there's a chance it will be released in the U.S.: "To me the movie is being released all over the world," he said. "If people enjoy the movie, I think it will eventually be released in the U.S."

Either way, the 83-year-old says he's fine: "I couldn't care less. I've never worked in Hollywood. I've always worked in New York and it doesn't matter to me for a second. If tomorrow nobody would finance my films and nobody would finance my theater plays or nobody would publish my books, I'd still get up and write because that's what I do. So I will always work. What happens to it commercially is another matter."

CONSTANCE WU TALKS HUSTLERS: Constance Wu is opening up about Hustlers, based on the real story of Roselyn Keo. She tells Deadline: "I was looking to play a character who was really lonely, because I think loneliness is pervasive in our culture right now. I think it was just an interesting role to play. The way that Destiny manifests her loneliness at first is by saying, ‘I don't want to need anybody, I want to be independent,' when really, she does want friends and wants people to love her. So that's really what drew me to it." She continued: "Strippers are often prejudged based on their occupations, and what's cool about this movie is that we explore the human stories behind this preconceived notion of what an occupation is. When you explore somebody's human story, you understand why they might make the choices they make." Hustlers opens September 13th.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Hart has asked the judge to push back the start date, which was scheduled for September 9th. Stand Up Digital did not have any objection.

Stand Up will reportedly hold a conference on October 1st to update the judge.

TRUMP LASHES OUT AT DEBRA MESSING, TELLS NBC TO FIRE HER

President Donald Trump is still upset about Will & Grace star Debra Messing's tweets. Trump called her out for her August 31sttweet requesting "a list of attendees" to a reported Trump fundraiser in Beverly Hills. She also supported a church's sign that read "A black vote for Trump is mental illness" on one side and "A white vote for Trump is pure racism" on the other, in a now-deleted tweet.

Messing was slammed by many on both sides of the aisle, who said calling for a list of attendees was dangerous and mirrored a dark era of McCarthyism in the nation's past, when suspected communists were black-listed. She later apologized, but Trump isn't letting the matter drop.

"Bad 'actress' Debra The Mess Messing is in hot water," Trump tweeted Thursday. "She wants to create a 'Blacklist' of Trump supporters, & is being accused of McCarthyism. Is also being accused of being a Racist because of the terrible things she said about blacks and mental illness."

He continued: "If Roseanne Barr........said what she did, even being on a much higher rated show, she would have been thrown off television," areference to Barr's ousting from her ABC series for a racist tweet.
