In the wake of controversial abortion bills that restrict access to almost all abortions in Georgia, Alabama and Missouri, more and more celebrities are sharing their personal stories of abortions. Busy Philipps, Minka Kelly, Amber Tamblyn and Milla Jovovich are just a handful of those who have spoken out.

Many are accompanying their stories with the hashtag #YouKnowMe. Philipps came up with the hashtag while discussing her abortion on Busy Tonight and on Twitter.

"The statistic is that one in four women will have an abortion before age 45. That statistic sometimes surprises people, and maybe you're sitting there thinking, 'I don't know a woman who would have an abortion,'" Philipps said. "Well, you know me."

Philipps then encouraged others to join her in speaking out.

Kelly, 38, took to social media Thursday to share her abortion story, calling it "the smartest decision I could've made, not only for myself & my boyfriend at the time, but also for this unborn fetus."

"For a baby to’ve been born to two people -- too young and completely ill equipped -- with no means or help from family, would have resulted in a child born into an unnecessary world of struggle," Kelly wrote alongside a photo collage of some of the white, male politicians who have voted for the bills. "Having a baby at that time would have only perpetuated the cycle of poverty, chaos and dysfunction I was born into."

"Forcing a child to be born to a mother who isn’t ready, isn’t financially stable, was raped, a victim of incest (!!), isn’t doing that theoretical child any favors," she continued. "For those of you insisting abortion is murder, and to Rep. Terri Collins who said 'an unborn baby is a person who deserves love and attention' -- forget bringing up the mother might be in need of some 'love and attention.'"

"What do you think happens to these kids who end up bouncing around in foster care, live on government assistance because the mother has no help, can’t afford childcare while she works a minimum wage job, and is trapped in a cycle of trying to survive on the meager government assistance so many of you same pro-lifers are determined to also take away," she questioned. "If you insist on forcing women to carry to term, why do you refuse to talk about comprehensive sex-ed, the maternal mortality rate, free daycare, paid maternity leave? Our lives, traumas & family planning is for no one to decide but us. Certainly not a group of old white men."

She concluded her note, asking whether, if the men who were pushing the bill could get pregnant themselves, it would have ever gone through.

"With all this punishment for women I wonder where all the punishment is for the men in this scenario. By looking at the photo of all the men who are making this mess, I find it hard to believe that if it were the autonomy of a man's body, health and life in question, I can't help but be certain we wouldn’t be having this conversation in the first place," she wrote. "I appreciate seeing men speak up on this issue - women do not get pregnant alone. Lest we forget, outlawing abortion has never stopped women from attempting it."

Tamblyn joined her, opening up about her abortion in 2012, calling it "one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make."

"I still think about it to this day," she tweeted. "But these truths do not make me regret my decision. It was the right choice for me, at that time in my life. I have not a single doubt about this. #YouKnowMe".

Cynthia Nixon, Ashley Judd, Alia Shawkat, Jameela Jamil, Keke Palmer, Tess Holliday, Cecile Richards, Trishelle, Amanda Abbington and others also shared their stories.

Tim Conway, best known for his work on The Carol Burnett Show, died on Tuesday morning in L.A. He was 85. Howard Bragman, Conway's representative, told CNN that he was battling a longtime illness prior to his death, but said it was not dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Conway won four Emmys (three for acting, one for writing) for his work on The Carol Burnett Show, from 1967-1978.

After The Carol Burnett Show ended, he worked on Disney live-action comedies like The Apple Dumpling Gang, then won several more Emmys for his roles on sitcoms Coach, 30 Rock and for his voiceover work in SpongeBob Squarepants.

Jamie Lee Curtis, Patton Oswalt, Conan O’Brien and Judd Apatow were among the celebrities who memorialized him on social media.

His costar Burnett told CNN: "I'm heartbroken. He was one in a million, not only as a brilliant comedian but as a loving human being. I cherish the times we had together both on the screen and off. He'll be in my heart forever."

She dedicated a previously scheduled one-woman show, "An Evening of Laughter and Reflection Where the Audience Asks Questions," to Conway's memory last night in North Carolina.

Conway married twice, first to Mary Anne Dalton from 1961 to 1978, with whom he had six children. Conway is survived by his wife of more than 30 years, Charlene Fusco.

The family is asking that donations be made in his memory to The Lou Ruvo Brain Center at the Cleveland Clinic in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Jameela Jamil is sharing her own abortion story in the wake of Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s decision to ban abortions after six weeks.

The Good Place star wrote on Twitter of the bill: "I had an abortion when I was young, and it was the best decision I have ever made. Both for me, and for the baby I didn't want, and wasn't ready for, emotionally, psychologically and financially. So many children will end up in foster homes. So many lives ruined. So very cruel."

She continued: "This anti-abortion law in Georgia is so upsetting, inhumane, and blatantly demonstrative of a hatred of women, a disregard for our rights, bodies, mental health, and essentially a punishment for rape victims, forcing to carry the baby of their rapist."

Jamil was quick to point out that she has no beef with foster care. "Ps.. this isn’t any diss at ALL to foster homes. I’m in awe of people who take in children in need of a family and a home: but if Georgia becomes inundated with children who are unwanted or unable to be cared for, it will be hard to find great fostering for them all."

The bill is set to take effect in January of 2020 and will likely be challenged in court.

We worked together for one day. But I took all the heat. Now, fair deal—I was playing Batman and I wasn't good in it, and it wasn't a good film, but what I learned from that failure was that I had to rethink how I was working because now I wasn't just an actor getting a role, I was being held responsible for the film itself."

Many fans were perplexed when Constance Wu sent out a series of angry, emotional tweets following the news that her ABC hit comedy, Fresh Off the Boat, got renewed.

The 37-year-old Crazy Rich Asians star tweeted: "So upset right now that I'm literally crying. Ugh," followed by expletives. On social media, commenters called her out after she reportedly also posted "Dislike" under a post about the show returning for another season.

"Saying 'dislike' to this news is a slap in the face to everyone who works behind the scenes to make your show as powerful and groundbreaking as it truly is. Because the show was renewed an entire crew gets another year taking care of their families, putting their kids through college, getting medical insurance and saving for retirement. This reeks of someone out of touch and ungrateful," one user said.

Later, she attempted to clarify her tweet, saying it was unrelated to the show’s renewal. "Y'all are making a lot of assumptions about what I was saying," she tweeted. "And no, it's not what it's about. No it's not ... what this is all about. Stop assuming."

Wu didn't delete her earlier tweets and defended them by saying they were "on the heels of rough day & were ill timed (with) the news of the show."

"(Please) know, I'm so grateful for FOTB renewal," she posted. "I love the cast & crew. I'm proud to be a part of it."

When the criticism didn’t relent, on Saturday, she issued another series of tweet-statements.

"These words are my truth. I hope you hear them," she wrote in the tweet, attaching a screenshot of a longer statement.

"I love FOTB," the actress began. "I was temporarily upset yesterday not bc I hate the show but bc its renewal meant I had to give up another project that I was really passionate about. So my dismayed social media replies were more about that other project and not about FOTB.

Wu also acknowledged that her previous statements were "insensitive" and that "it’s a huge privilege that I even HAVE options — options that FOTB has afforded me. But if one does have privilege, they ought to use that privilege as best they can. For me — that means pushing myself artistically."
