Gina Rodriguez has been open about her struggles with anxiety for a while now, but she’s letting fans know for the first time just how serious her battle was.

During a discussion on mental health at The Kennedy Forum with NBC’s Kate Snow, Rodriguez said she worked through the anxiety that started when she was about 16, but that at a certain point it became too much for her, and she had to take time off work to grapple with her suicidal feelings.

Rodriguez first got candid about her battle in a 2017 Instagram post. She spoke with Snow at the forum shortly after she and her husband, Chris Bro, opened up about losing his father to suicide. Rodriguez said the conversation prompted her to discuss her own experience with suicidal ideation.

The 34-year-old said: "I think I started dealing with depression around sixteen. I started dealing with the idea of that same concept that your husband was talking about, everything is going to be better when I'm gone. Life will be easier. All the woes will be away, all the problems. Then I wouldn't have to fail or succeed, right? Then all this surmounting pressure would go away. It would just go away."

She continued: "There was a point where I couldn’t…push through every single time anymore, and I’m one of those human beings…where they're just like, I’ll handle it later. I’ll deal with it later. I’ll figure it out later. I just have to do this now. All the while you’re dealing with your silent little dragon in your head. And it came to a point, and this last season was the first season where I had to stop production. I had a really tumultuous season, and I was unafraid for the first time to be like, ‘I can’t.’"

Rodriguez says she wants to get her message to young girls, who get an edited version of celebrities lives, and wants to let them know that they can fight through obstacles. "I can't just tell them to go out and make their dreams come true and then to ignore everything else."

Growing up in her own family, she said discussing mental health wasn’t an option. She wants to change that.

Days after the Oscar-winning Cuba Gooding Jr. was accused of grabbing a woman’s breasts at a rooftop bar in Manhattan, a social media star said he assaulted her too.

Claudia Oshry said on her podcast, The Morning Toast: "At the end of the day, like, I don't know if I've ever considered myself to be, like, a victim of sexual assault because I'm not. There are people who are real victims that I would never compare myself to them. But yes, when I was in high school—I was f--king 16 years old—Cuba Gooding Jr. put his finger up my butt, and I felt wild. Like, I felt—I don't even know what the right word is. And now, it's just become, like, a part of who I am. It's a part of my story."

On Monday, the 51-year-old’s attorney Mark Heller told E!: "Cuba says this incident never happened and he has no recollection of this individual either."

Gooding Jr. pleaded not guilty to forcible touching and is free on bail.

On Monday, the Duke of Sussex spoke on the "vital mission" of removing landmines from Angola in an effort to put the country "back on the map as a tourist destination."

He is following in his late mother Princess Diana’s footsteps. Diana visited Angola in 1997 with The HALO Trust, and Harry did the same in 2013.

In a speech at Chatham House in London, he said removing the mines "a humanitarian issue, NOT a political one."

Harry continued: "I had the privilege in 2013 of visiting Angola with The HALO Trust. In Cuando Cubango, in the far southeast of what is a vast, beautiful country, I saw a struggling community in a deserted landscape unable to make use of the land, yet the potential to turn this land into a sustainable source for its people. In fact I was told just the other day of the positive transformation in Huambo since my mother walked that minefield all those years ago."

"... My hope is that through this collaboration, minefields can be cleared, land can be protected, wildlife can be free to return to where they once roamed, and Angolans can reap the rewards by coexisting with the one constant that will draw people in from all over the world -- the extraordinary setting that they call home," he added.

In April, a royal source told ET that Harry and Meghan Markle were planning another visit to Angola in the fall. Rumors have also been swirling that they plan to move their with their son, Archie.

Meanwhile, a video showing Harry seemingly tell Meghan to "turn around" on the Buckingham Palace balcony during the Trooping the Colour has gone viral. However, people who watch the entire video with sound will find that while he does in fact, say "turn around...look" the second time Meghan looks at him, the first time, he appeared to be answering her question with a "yes, that's right."

In other words, she was asking him something, he heard "God Save the Queen," so he reminded her to turn around.

Meanwhile, director Miguel Sapochnik told IndieWire that he also wasn’t thrilled with GOT’s final season either. His beef: "I wanted to kill everyone. I wanted to kill Jorah in the horse charge at the beginning. I was up for killing absolutely everyone. The original ending for Pretty Woman was about as grim as it gets, Julia Roberts reveals. In a conversation with Patricia Arquette for Variety, Arquette herself reveals said that she auditioned for a dark, gritty version of Pretty Woman, and Roberts ended with the role, but in an upbeat rom-com.

"So many, many, many years ago, one of my early auditions was for a movie called 3,000. Most people don’t know that 3,000 was the original Pretty Woman script. And the ending was really heavy," Arquette, 51, said to kick of her interview with Roberts, 51.

Roberts recalls that the script ended with her character being thrown "out of the car," before the driver "threw the money on top of her, as memory serves, and just drove away, leaving her in some dirty alley."

"So it really read like a gritty art movie. When you first read it, it was that incarnation," Arquette said.

When she landed the role it was for a small movie company that folded shortly after. The script landed at Disney, she said.

"I thought, ‘Went to Disney? Are they going to animate it?'" she told Arquette. "Director Garry Marshall came on, and because he’s a great human being, he felt it would only be fair to meet me, since I had this job for three days and lost it. And they changed the whole thing. And it became more something that is in my wheelhouse."

Roberts also dropped the bomb that she hates doing nude scenes: "Even in Pretty Woman, if I had to be in a slip, I’d be covered in hives."
