Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday to toast his birthday. The lovebirds (as always) got real. Shepard explained that having a birthday so close to the holidays is the "worst" thing ever.

"It's traditionally when you go back to school as a kid. It's like, 'Happy birthday! Go to school!' And then when you get there, there was a big break. So, when they read the happy birthdays over the loud speaker, you're among like 30 people who had birthdays. Nothing special!" the 44-year-old joked.

He continued that even now it’s grim, despite his celeb status: "I can't get more than six people to attend my birthday party—and I'm on television and they know Kristen will be there."

Shepard got emotional though when she asked him what he most wanted for his birthday. He said: "I would say please, please, please give that person love and support for 11 years. Give them two beautiful baby girls—and you're good."

Holding back tears, Bell told him, "You're crying, too!"

"You sit down, young lady!" Shepard joked. "We've heard enough of your questions."

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp may have had a more volatile relationship than was previously suspected. While both of them accused the other of abuse during their contentious 2016 divorce, new legal documents are expected to shed new light on their relationship.

The documents, according to The Hollywood Reporter, are expected to play a central role in Depp’s defamation suit against the U.K. tabloid The Sun.

THR published portions of a deposition in which both parties gave accounts of the alleged abuse.

In an account Heard gave to Blair Berk, an attorney employed by Depp, she reportedly said on August 13th, 2016: "Johnny and I refer to his other personality, the part of him that is present when he beats me up — we call that the monster and have called that the monster for many years. I was petrified of the monster."

That claim was extracted from a 471-page deposition transcript, which THR obtained, along with statements from Heard’s friend Raquel Pennington and the Los Angeles Police Department officers who responded to an altercation at their L.A. penthouse on May 21, 2016. (This is the famous fight that allegedly led to Heard filing for divorce. Photographs of Heard's bruised face also emerged, though Depp has long maintained that the bruises were self-inflicted).

According to Pennington, who came to the penthouse when Heard asked her to, Depp was "swinging around" a magnum bottle of wine and knocking things off the counter with it. She also said she took "dozens of photos" of Heard’s bruises over the years of her relationship with Depp.

The LAPD, meanwhile, stated that they saw no signs of broken items when inspecting the apartment.

Meanwhile, Depp claimed that Heard was the one who was "aggressive and violent." He said she punched him twice on April 21, 2016 after he was late to her birthday dinner.

He claimed that fearing for his own safety, he brought security guards to his apartment on May 21, 2016, and that he never touched her.

A hearing in the U.K. has been set for February 22nd.

Meanwhile, according to a report in Forbes, Disney is seriously mulling firing Depp from its Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Because of salary and insurance requirements, the House of Mouse could save almost $90 million (a hefty helping of its $230 million budget) by losing Captain Jack Sparrow.

In a statement, the network said: "The entire media industry is aware of the need for complete and accurate measurement across platforms. While Nielsen has made some strides in this area, progress has not been what we and many clients would like, and local TV measurement is particularly challenged. Despite this backdrop, Nielsen continues to use their market power to bundle disparate services and raise prices for services that don’t sufficiently address ongoing changes in the industry. As a result, we are currently at a contractual impasse, although we continue to be open to negotiating a fair deal that makes strategic and financial sense for CBS. If we cannot come to an agreement with Nielsen, we will continue to employ the many viable alternatives available to us, including Comscore."

Famed shutterbug Bruce Weber is slapping back at accusers who claim he sexually assaulted them.

According to new legal documents filed January 2nd and obtained by TMZ, Weber is claiming that one of the accusers who formally filed a lawsuit initiated contact with him. Models Jason Boyce and Mark Ricketson claimed in December of 2017 that Weber forced them to touch their genitals doing a shoot. Boyce recently tacked on claims that Weber tried to force him into sex trafficking.

Weber has responded, TMZ reports, claiming that Boyce and his agents sent him text messages for years, some of which included "pornographic poses in a desperate attempt to get Mr. Weber's attention."

When Weber didn’t respond, Boyce continued to hound him, he claims, often sending shots "in a blatant attempt to be sexual, posing and bending shirtless in a manner to emphasize his genitals."

Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson returned to stand-up for the first time on New Year’s Eve since posting an alarming note on Instagram a few weeks ago that many people interpreted as suicidal.

Davidson tackled several topics fans were eager to hear about, including what it felt to be discussed on ex-fiancee Ariana Grande’s hit song, "Thank U, Next."

"Here’s the thing about the breakup song. Usually breakup songs you know who it’s about but you don’t really know. That G named all of us," he told the crowd. "Bam. She named all of us. And then, tells us, yeah, he has a big d***."

The 25-year-old admitted that the day the song was released, moments before he was set to appear on SNL, was "sad."

"That s--t came out before I had to put on a f--king duck hat and be like, 'derrrp here's the pizza!' So all my friends were there. It was a sad day. We didn't know it was going to happen."

What shocked Davidson most about the breakup though, was the effect it had on his mother, who’s a school nurse, and has been harassed since the split.

"She was walking in the hallway and some little f--king kid started singing 'Thank U Next' to her. Me, I get it, but my mom?" he said. As punishment, the kid had to sing the song in front of the dean of the school, a former cop.

Disney is introducing its first openly gay character in the upcoming Jungle Cruise movie, and all eyes are on the House of Mouse as they gauge how it handles the sensitive topic.

As it turns out, when Jack Whitehall’s character McGregor comes out to Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson’s Frank, he doesn’t actually use the word "gay," TMZ reports. Sources tell the site that screenings of the scene have overall been met with open arms, though many have taken notice of the missing word.

The scene is light-hearted, with the pair discussing women and dancing and McGregor tells Frank that his family tried setting him up multiple times to no avail, then explains that his sister Lily (Emily Blunt) is the only one who accepts him no matter who he loves.

Inevitably, Twitter’s reaction to Disney’s choice is mixed, especially following the kerfluffle over casting a straight actor in a gay role. Though just as many users are equally sick of listening to fans jaw about the controversy. Writes one user, "And that time Daniel Craig played James Bond, and he's not really a spy."

The teen who was allegedly sexually assaulted by Kevin Spacey filmed part of the attack on Snapchat, Massachusetts State Police say.

The son of former Boston news anchor Heather Unruh told police that he sent a video of the Oscar winner groping him to his girlfriend as proof of the attack, according to reports.

"The drinks continued constantly through the whole night. Things started to get a little fuzzy when Unruh’s son and Spacey went over to the piano," Trooper Gerald F. Donovan wrote in the report. "Unruh’s son said he had at least four or five beers before Spacey said they should switch to whiskey adding, ‘Let’s get drunk.’ "

"Unruh’s son said the whole thing was embarrassing and has not had a ‘profound emotional effect’ on him. He told his friends about it and makes jokes about it because that is his way," the report said.

Meanwhile, Hollywood stars are taking note of Spacey’s recent work, but the reception has been overwhelmingly negative. Spacey released a bizarre video in the wake of being charged with sexual assault on Christmas Eve, in character as the homicidal politician Frank Underwood.

Spacey played Underwood in Netflix’s House of Cards, until he was fired following 30+ accusations of sexual misconduct. He now faces a felony charge stemming from the alleged 2016 attack on Unruh's son.

In the three-minute video he says, in part: "They’re just dying for me to declare that everything said was true and that I got what I deserved. Wouldn’t that be easy? If it was all so simple? You and I both know it’s never that simple, not in politics and not in life."

Fellow actors and directors have reacted with disgust. #MeToo activist Alyssa Milano deemed the video "creepy," while Ellen Barkin said it was "very disturbing."

No matter what the reaction is, Spacey is—for the first time since the scandal broke—drawing in the viewers. Two days after it went up, the video had more than 4.5 million views.

Famed shutterbug Bruce Weber was sued by model Jason Boyce in December of 2017 for sexual harassment, and now more models are joining the growing chorus of voices accusing him of predation.

In January, 15 models supported Boyce's story, and spoke with The New York Times about his "unnecessary nudity and coercive sexual behavior."

On Friday, five more models represented by attorney Lisa Bloom have anonymously filed suit in the Southern District of New York, calling Weber a "serial sexual predator" who "exploited his prominence and influence to manipulate men into submitting to his sexual advances."

Weber executed an eerily similar m.o. with all of them, launching a "breathing exercise" that would eventually lead to him touching their genitals.

Weber’s lawyer tells Page Six: "These new allegations are outrageous. Bruce Weber has never lured, recruited or forced anyone to do anything and has never inappropriately touched a model. This lawsuit is nothing more than a media-hungry lawyer’s attempt to extort Mr. Weber."

Steven Seagal won’t face criminal charges related to an accusation of sexual assault he faced from an incident in 2002, the L.A. District Attorney’s office said Friday. Seagal, 66, has been accused of sexual misconduct several times.

Among his most prominent accusers were Jenny McCarthy and Portia de Rossi. The D.A. noted the evidence they gathered did not meet requirements imposed by the statute of limitations laws. The D.A. did not name the accuser, but attorney Lisa Bloom said it was connected her client, the former model Faviola Dadis.

In a statement, Bloom said: "The sole reason for its refusal is the statute of limitations, and California law's requirement that the victim in this situation (reporting child sexual assault after the age of 21) have independent evidence that clearly and independently corroborates her claims. We appreciate the DA's office's careful review of this case. Its hands are tied by this unfair law which bars the courthouse door even to young women like my client, Faviola Dadis, who is highly credible."

In September, the D.A. declined to charge him with an alleged sexual assault stemming from 1993, also due to statue of limitations. Bloom handled that case as well, reportedly for Regina Simons, who says he raped her.

Goop guru Gwyneth Paltrow is showing her holiday spirit with Christmas stockings for both her new husband Brad Fulchuk, and her first husband Chris Martin, with whom she shares her two children, Apple and Moses.

The Oscar-winner and Coldplay frontman famously announced their split in 2014 by saying their were consciously uncoupling in a way that honored their love, and while many mocked them at the time, they appear to have stuck to their word. They frequently post pics on their social media that include each other.

They also spent Thanksgiving with each other, their kids and their partners (Falchuk for Paltrow and Dakota Johnson for Martin). They even vacation together!

"Gwyneth and Chris have the modern family thing down pat and continue to vacation and spend family time together. LOL, the Internet guffawed, after news broke that the KarJenner clan is pulling the plug on its apps in 2019. Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have announced that they’re shutting down their apps and websites, which cost $2.99 per month. They are following Kendall's lead, who decided to shutter hers last year.

"We’ve had an incredible experience connecting with all of you through our apps these past few years but have made the difficult decision to no longer continue updating in 2019," read the statement from the sisters, which was nearly identical to Kendall’s. "We truly hope you’ve enjoyed this journey as much as we have, and we look forward to what’s ahead."

The apps, which launched in 2015, took off like gangbusters, but then withered. Per CNNMoney, about 1.5 million downloaded Kylie’s app in the first five days. Khloé had 398,000 in the first five days, Kim had 362,000 and Kendall received 216,000 downloads. Kourtney released her app later.

On Twitter, users—perhaps predictably—greeted the news with glee. One user asked, "Can they keep themselves off tv too," while another crowed, "best news I’ve heard all year!"
