Roseanne Barr is claiming that she has been labeled a racist because she voted for President Donald Trump. After canceling a TV interview she'd been teasing recently, she told her fans that she would instead speak out on her YouTube channel where she could explain herself without contending with anyone else's agenda. On Friday, the 65-year-old addressed her firing from the wildly successful ABC reboot of Roseanne.

"Hi, this is Roseanne Barr and I’d like to welcome you to my own studio where I’m able to speak for myself to my fellow and sister Americans without the filter of the biased media," Barr began.

"This was my statement from the very beginning and it will continue to be forever because it is the truth. When ABC called and asked me to explain my ‘egregious and unforgivable’ tweet, I told them: ‘I thought Valerie Jarrett was white.’ And I also said, ‘I’m willing to go on The View, Jimmy Kimmel or whatever other show you want me to go on and explain that to my audience,’ " explained Barr.

Barr continued: "Now, instead what happened was about 40 minutes after that, my show was canceled before even one advertiser pulled out and I was labeled a racist. Why you ask? Well the answer’s simple: it’s because I voted for Donald Trump and that is not allowed in Hollywood."

He was released the same day due to overcrowding and given a suspended sentence if he complied with an order to pay up. Schneider would prefer to do his time, he wrote in a letter to the court obtained by People. He wrote that he is "leveraged to the max" with various loans while trying to do "what I believe is ‘right’ throughout this whole process." He added that he wants to "accept the punishment" in lieu of payment. The pair split in 2014 after 21 years of marriage.

San Diego’s Comic-Con Festival pulled out all the stops, with surprise appearances from stars and tantalizing glimpses of new footage from Wonder Woman 1984, Fantastic Beasts, Aquaman, Shazam and more.

WHY 1984?

"I hope we can keep it in this room," director Patty Jenkins told fans in Hall H as she prepared to show them early footage. TBD if fans will comply, but according to Vulture, the footage shows Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman fighting off gunmen in a mall food court until she notices a little girl, whom she super-hurls (grinning gamely) into a pile of teddy bears. Then she’s back to fighting bad guys and running at super-speed.

Jenkins remained mum on other details but did tease fans with the mystery of the resurrection of Chris Pine’s character and why she chose 1984 as the setting: "It was mankind at its best … and worst. It’s us at our most extreme."

"I never want to do more of anything for the wrong reason," Jenkins said of choosing to make a sequel. "I don’t even want to go to that place in my head of how you keep it going and cash in. I want to make great movies in my lifetime … we can make a whole new movie about something completely new, and as unique in its own right as the first one."

Johnny Depp surprised Hall H at the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald panel at by coming in character and delivering a villainous rant. In the Harry Potter world, Depp’s Grindelwald character is a cross between Hitler and Mussolini.

Depp, who was not one of the famous faces slated to make an appearance, strolled onstage halfway through the presentation to deliver an anti-Muggle manifesto.

"I do not hate them. I do not," said Depp. "I say the Muggles are not lesser. Not worthless, but of other value. Magic blooms only in rare souls. It is granted to those who live for higher things."

He then left without acknowledging his costars. Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard (who appeared on a panel for Aquaman) reportedly did not cross paths. Depp has had more than his share of personal and professional troubles of late, as he fights numerous lawsuits and reports continue to emerge of his lavish spending and excessive partying.

James Wan’s vision for Jason Momoa as Aquaman is due this winter.

"I wanted to create a superhero film that we've never quite seen before. I wanted our film to be more unique," Wan said. "My movie plays more like a science fiction fantasy film than a traditional superhero movie."

Heard, Patrick Wilson and Dolph Lundgren also co-star, and Nicole Kidman makes an appearance. It’s wet, it’s wild, and fans are eating it up. Less than 24 hours after the trailer’s debut, it had already been viewed on YouTube more than 9.3 million times.

No darkness or doom here! Shazam! debuted a bold and bright trailer and fans got their first glimpse of a bullied boy who transforms into a superhero (Zachary Levi) just by yelling the titular word.

"There are very few characters who are just stoked to have their powers," Levi said. "Since I still am waiting to wake up one morning and fly, to do that, I just got to be me. I got to be a genuine part of myself ... I love that there's still an optimism in him."

Twin Peaks creator David Lynch failed to show, but he did send his regards through the show’s exec producer, Sabrina Sutherland. She read a series of texts from Lynch: "I am working with Phillip Jeffries to see if I can get there. Twin Peaks fans are the best fans. I got my days mixed up and I’m going to be there yesterday if not sooner. It’s slippery in here. In the Red Room, special agent Dale Cooper has already won the Emmy."

Castmembers were on hand to discuss the Showtime revival of the cult hit, and while they didn’t drop any major revelations, Chryta Bell said of Lynch: "There’s art just pouring out of every pore in his body. I love the idea of being creatively involved with this person and with all the people that were on this program. It was tremendously arousing, as was said, and also just so fulfilling to be with a group of people who just loved what they were doing and were all so grateful to be a part of the process. It was truly magical, super-special."

In a new video for PETA, animal rights activist and actress Natalie Portman compares consuming meat and animal cruelty to the inhumane acts committed during the Holocaust.

Portman calls out the life of Nobel Laureate Isaac Bashevis Singer, and shares some of his thoughts on animal rights.

"Nowadays, many of us speak up for animals, but it wasn’t always like this," the actress says in the beginning of the video. "Decades ago, one man articulated the plight of animals so boldly that the modern world couldn’t ignore him."

"We do to God’s creatures what the Nazis did to us," Portman quoted from Singer's novel, Shosha.

She also quotes a passage from his novel The Slaughterer: "As long as people will shed the blood of innocent creatures there can be no peace, no liberty, no harmony. Slaughter and justice cannot dwell together."

"We’re doing as good as we can," David, 53, told Robin Roberts on ABC's Good Morning America Wednesday. "It’s been very tough, obviously. It is very sweet that everyone came out of the woodwork, that she made an impact."

"It’s funny, ’cause every girl I was with or anyone that knew they would see Katie would dress differently," he recalled. "They would bring their A-game. It was very sweet. They would be like, ‘Is Katie coming? Is Katie gonna be there?’ And if she was, it was a whole new wardrobe."

He added, "Katie was very sweet. She knew that they were doing that, and then she would … compliment them. And when I’d say, ‘You don’t dress up for me!’ they’d go, ‘Yeah, that’s her and you’re you.’ She was such a beautiful, lovely, great spirit that obviously will be missed … I’m going to start bawling."

Meghan Markle just can’t catch a break. Her half-sister Samantha Grant, who has gone on the record several times slamming Meghan (including famously warning Prince Harry not to marry her before their May 19thnuptials), is now claiming that her coldness to her father is killing him.

This news comes on the heels of reports that the Royal Family is horrified by Thomas Markle’s penchant for blabby interviews with members of the tabloid press.

"My father is not an embarrassment for loving his daughter!" she wrote, according to screenshots of her tweets. "The Royals are an embarrassment for being so cold. You should be ashamed of yourselves @KensingtonRoyal."

She saved her harshest criticism for Meghan: "How about you pay tribute to your own father?! Enough is enough. Act like a humanitarian act like a woman!" she continued. "If our father dies I’m holding you responsible, Meg!"

Meanwhile, a new report in The Daily Mail is claiming that Thomas faked his alleged heart attack before the wedding to get out of showing up and in a bid for sympathy.

A source close to the Duchess allegedly told the Mail: "'He had to come up with a good enough reason not to attend her wedding and avoid any further embarrassment after those staged photos went public. …He brought this upon himself and if he were truly sick Meghan would have made an effort to visit him. Don't feel sorry for him. If anything, feel sorry for Meghan."

The Mail continues, claiming they reached out to the Sharp Chula Medical Center, which he said he stayed at, and that the clinic denied treating him.

George Clooney made $239 million pre-taxes in the past year, according to Forbes' annual Celebrity 100: The World’s Highest Paid Entertainers report.

And Clooney wasn’t even on top: athlete Floyd Mayweather earned $285 million pretax, most of which came from his August 2017 fight with Conor McGregor. Clooney came in second, and Kylie Jenner rounded out the top 3 with $166.5 million, thanks to her phenomenally successful makeup empire.

"Before the Time's Up and #MeToo movements burst forth in Hollywood almost a year ago, I never thought I would live to see a day when women were actually heard," said Fonda. "I’m very aware of the fact that in the beginning this happened the way it did because the women who were speaking out were white and they were famous. Almost immediately, we in Hollywood received a letter: Dear sisters, from the Alliance of Women Farmworkers. I can’t tell you the effect that that had on all of us — the fact that 7,000 workers from the field were reaching out to us celebrities in Hollywood saying 'we stand with you' made us realize that this notion that has become so important of intersectionality was now being fleshed out."

Children, almost certainly yes, but the question is, how many? That’s the question newlyweds Prince Harry, 35, and Meghan Markle, 36, have been contending with since news of their May 19thnuptials broke.

In Dublin on Wednesday, one woman in the crowd of admirers gathering to greet the royals had a suggestion framed as a question: "My husband also has red hair and he gave me five children — when are you and Meghan going to get going?"

The woman told People magazine of his response: "He laughed and said ‘Five children? Too many.’ "

Still, fans who want a bambino sooner rather than later can cling to Harry’s previous comments to the BBC shortly after their engagement: "You know, one step at a time. Hopefully we’ll start a family in the near future."

Meanwhile, Meghan reveals her former career will always have a big place in her heart. Meghan, who gave up her role on Suits to marry Harry (royals don’t have classic careers, instead spending their time dedicated to philanthropy), admitted in Dublin that she missed her gig.

"I'm a fan of Suits and I said to her that I miss it and she said 'so do I'," Fiona Moore recalled to reporters. "She seemed very relaxed and was joking and laughing."

Trans actors are responding to the latest Scarlett Johansson casting controversy … creatively. The Golden Globe-nominated star is catching heat for taking on a trans role in Rupert SandersRub & Tug, which follows the true story of Dante "Tex" Gill, who ran massage/prostitution parlors in the 1970s.

Sanders and Johansson were also accused of white-washing when she took on a classically Asian role in Sanders’ Ghost in the Shell.

In a now-viral video, trans stars Justin Chow, Scott Turner Schonefield, D'Lo and Rocco Kayiatos take on some of Johansson’s previous roles, including Samantha in Her, Charlotte in Lost in Translation, Natasha Romanoff in The Avengers and Anna in He's Just Not That Into You.

In the finale, Schonefield nabs Samantha, but wait for it….

"Is this a female role?" he asks someone behind the camera, who replies that yes, it is for a white female.

"Sorry, I'm just having trouble because cis women are actually really marginalized in Hollywood, you know, and I know that there are people who have lived this experience that would bring a lot of authenticity to it and I feel a little weird about taking that from them," he replies. "Thank you so much for the opportunity and no thanks."

Once you’ve starred in a movie that’s nominated for an Oscar, it’s safe to say you’re famous, right? Saoirse Ronan, 24, still doesn’t feel famous though.

She graces the cover of Vogue for its August issue, and inside, the Lady Bird star discusses the perils and pleasures of working in the movie industry since the age of 9.

"I still get completely shocked that anyone knows who I am," she told Vogue after a fan asked to take a photo with her in her native Ireland. When asked if she'd rather she blended into the crowd more, she said, "Yeah, I would. But I'm not...famous. I just genuinely don't think I am. Selena Gomez is famous."

Ronan continued, saying she avoided reading about herself. "If you're not aware of how often you're in a newspaper, then it's like it's not really happening. I just get so anxious whenever I watch anything that I'm in. I'm fine with the way I look now. But I wouldn't necessarily be looking at photographs of myself all day. I don't want to become too consumed by the image of myself."

Robin Wright has granted her first interview that touches on the sexual misconduct allegations leveled against her former co-star Kevin Spacey to Today’s Savannah Guthrie on NBC.

Wright is promoting House of Cards as its sixth and final season is set to premiere on Netflix. The giant streaming service gave Spacey the boot after multiple men accused Spacey of misconduct, including some members of the crew on House of Cards.

In the interview, Wright distances herself from Spacey, claiming they were merely co-workers, never friends or intimates.

"We were co-workers, really," she said. "We never socialized outside of work."

Despite allegations of misconduct on the set of HOC and previous reports that Spacey’s behavior was common knowledge, she said the cast and crew "were all surprised, of course, and ultimately saddened."

She said she has not spoken to him since his disappearance from Hollywood. (He is reportedly seeking treatment).

"Kevin and I knew each other between action and cut and in between setups where we would giggle," she said. "I didn't know the man. I knew the incredible craftsman that he is."
