Cardi B Rep Denies Gang Allegations Made by Tekashi 6ix9ine

A rep for rap superstar Cardi B has rejected allegations made by rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine during three days of court testimony that she was a member of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, Billboard reports. The 23-year-old rapper testified that Cardi B. intentionally made videos with Bloods in the background as a way to boost her rap career, but said he didn’t follow that blueprint. “I knew who she was. I didn’t pay attention,” he told the court. A rep for Atlantic Records denied the allegation, saying simply, “This is not true,” while another rep told Page Six, “She’s not and has never been affiliated with this gang.” Cardi B did confirm her affiliation with the Bloods in a 2018 GQ interview, but claims no link to Nine Trey. While 6ix9ine was testifying in a Manhattan federal court against reputed Nine Trey gang members Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, he also said that rapper Jim Jones was a Nine Trey. Prosecutors played a wiretapped call with a known Nine Trey gang member, where Jones referenced 6ix9ine, saying the gang “best get to violating” the rapper after he’d gone on a radio station and denounced the Bloods in November of 2017.
