“Captain America” Actress Arrested in Stabbing Death of Her 68-Year-Old Mom
Actress Mollie Fitzgerald, who had a small role in the Marvel movie <i>Captain America: The First Avenger,</i> was arrested and charged with second-degree murder after a December 20 incident in an Olathe, Kansas, home in which her 68-year-old mother was stabbed to death, USA Today reports. Fitzgerald is accused of stabbing Patricia “Tee” Fitzgerald inside the home, and according to police, “a 38-year-old white female, known to the victim, was contacted on scene and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. This case remains under investigation by the Olathe Police Department.” Fitzgerald is an aspiring filmmaker, and worked on projects with <i>Captain America</i> director Joe Johnston. She is set to be arraigned on Thursday, and is being held on $500,000 bail.
