Billie Lourd Pays Tribute to Mom Carrie Fisher on Her Birthday
Actress Billie Lourd paid tribute to her late mom Carrie Fisher on Monday, with a post on Instagram in which she sang Tom Petty’s “American Girl,” the UPI reports. “Today would have been my Momby’s 63rd birthday. Not that I’m some kind of grief expert by any means, but on milestones (or whatever you want to call them) like this, I like to celebrate her by doing things that she loved to do,” Lourd wrote, alongside a video of herself performing the song. The American Horror Story actress also said she’d “probably have a pint of vanilla Haggen Dazs and a Coca Cola for dinner.” In 2018, Lourd performed a version of “These Days” on piano in honor of Fisher. The two appeared together in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and both will appear in the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which comes out in December. Fisher died in 2016 at the age of 60.
