Billie Eilish Tried to Stop the Release of Her Debut LP the Day Before It Dropped
Billie Eilish reveals in a new interview with Billboard that she was so nervous about releasing her debut album earlier this year that she actually tried to cancel the whole thing the night before. “I didn’t want the world to be able to tell me how they feel about this thing I love,” the 17-year-old explains about When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? ”I’ve never felt that way. Where it’s my child and I don’t want anybody’s hands on it.” She adds that she was backstage at a Jimmy Kimmel Live! taping when she made that request. The album went on to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200.
