Beyoncé Gets Spot-On New Madame Tussauds Wax Figure After 2017 Debacle
Remember back in 2017, when Madame Tussauds unveiled a Beyoncé wax figure that looked more like Lindsay Lohan or Kate Gosselin than Queen Bey herself? Well, you’ll probably like Bey’s new statue so much, you’ll wanna put a ring on it! This week, the company’s Las Vegas location unveiled a brand-new Bey statue memorializing her legendary 2018 Coachella set. Not only are the facial features and skin tone spot-on, but the statue also sports a hot pink crop sweatshirt, booty shorts and a half-ponytail hairstyle just like Beyoncé did during her performance. According to a press release, 20 artists spent more than 500 hours on the Beychella look. The 2017 version of Beyoncé, which had been unveiled at the museum’s New York City location, was quietly put back on display months later after it was taken down for looking nothing like the singer. Another Beychella statue is on display at Madame Tussauds’ London location.
