Avicii’s Dad Pays Tribute to the DJ, Says He “Had a Good Heart”
Klas Bergling, the father of late DJ Avicii, told CBS This Morning that he hopes people remember his son as a good person and talented producer, UPI reports. Bergling says that he’s experienced his “ups and downs” since the suicide of his son in April of 2018, and that the event came as a shock, because the DJ seemed to be doing better after he quit touring in 2016 to focus on music. Bergling and his wife created the Tim Bergling Foundation in March of this year, to address mental health concerns and support suicide prevention. He also released an album by Avicii titled Tim this summer, with proceeds going to the foundation. The foundation also has a benefit concert scheduled for December in Stockholm, Sweden, which will feature performances from Adam Lambert, Rita Ora, Aloe Blacc, David Guetta and others.
