Sopranos star Annabella Sciorra will testify against Harvey Weinstein at his upcoming Manhattan sex-assault trial, according to newly unsealed court papers that Page Six obtained. Sciorra, 59, publicly accused Weinstein of raping her in a 2017 New Yorker article. That article is credited with helping to launch the #MeToo movement.
Sources tell Page Six that she will be one of a handful of witnesses that Justice James Burke has ruled may testify at the trial in order to establish a pattern of behavior. Weinstein was indicted on charges that he forcibly performed oral sex on production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006 and raped a lover in a Manhattan hotel in 2013.
The case is slated to go to trial on September 9th.
