Andy Cohen has revealed he tested positive for coronavirus.

‘After a few days of self-quarantine, and not feeling great, I have tested positive for Coronavirus,’ Andy, 51, announced on Instagram on Friday. 

‘As much as I felt like I could push through whatever I was feeling to do #WWHL from home, we’re putting a pin in that for now so I can focus on getting better. I want to thank all the medical professionals who are working tirelessly for all of us, and urge everybody to stay home and take care of themselves.’

The television host broke the bad news along with a selfie of himself, gazing towards the camera with a weary expression.

Only two hours earlier, Andy announced he would be shooting Watch What Happens Live from his West Village apartment.   

But now production has been put on hold as he focuses on recovering from the virus. 

Watch What Happens Live @ Home was set to debut this Sunday, with guests Nene Leakes, Jerry O’Connell and Ramona Singer.

‘Just when we thought our show couldn’t get any more low-tech, we’re all homebound. I’m not sure how this will play out, but I know it’ll be fun,’ said Cohen, who was working from home along with the rest of his production staff.

In addition to his first video-chat guests, Bravo promised the show would deliver ‘special games, at-home show-and-tells and surprises.’

A slew of celebrities sent their love to Andy and wished him a speedy recovery on social media.

Numerous members of the Bravo family responded to news of the diagnosis, including Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder and various Real Housewives.

‘We love you Andy. Sending prayers your way,’ Stassi wrote. 

 ‘Andy,’ RHONJ star Melissa Gorga wrote, along with several prayer hand emojis. ‘so sorry! Get well soon for that baby (heart emojis). ‘You got this.’ 

A day earlier Andy seemed in good spirits in an Instagram story he posted a day earlier, where he commented on the the Michael Jackson autobiography, Moonwalk.

‘Here’s a hot take – I don’t think Jacqueline Onassis did a great job editing this book. There’s some repetition I would have cut out. It made me sad in the end. He went a little off. What I will say about this is reading about the music,’ Andy said as he relaxed on the couch.

Andy has been keeping fans updated on his life in quarantine these last few days. 

Earlier this week, he shared a photo of himself inside his home office as his one-year-old son Benjamin played with his headphones while on the desk.

‘Might have a new co-host this morning! I’m live with John & Dan Rather at 10 on @radioandysxm…’ he captioned the photo.
