Alex Morgan Trolls England By “Sipping Tea” After Scoring in World Cup Semis

American soccer star Alex Morgan turned 30 on Tuesday, a milestone she celebrated with a 2-1 win over England in the World Cup semifinals–and with a cuppa tea. After scoring the U.S.’s second goal of the game, Morgan ran toward the stands before stopping in her tracks and–with pinky finger up–mocked the Brits by pretending to sip from a teacup. Needless to say, Twitter couldn’t get enough of Morgan’s trolling. “’No taxation without representation’–Alex Morgan, 1775,” one fan tweeted, referencing the Boston Tea Party, while another wrote, “BLEW A 13 COLONY LEAD.” Meanwhile, Morgan later tweeted, “This team is special. Thanks for the b-day love. Thanks for the rocking stadium. Thanks for continuing to believe with us. And that’s the tea.”
