Hours after getting busted for allegedly busting a guy’s face over a parking space dispute, Alec Baldwin was photographed exiting the NYPD’s 6th Precinct. The 60-year-old was dressed in a collared grey shirt and dark slacks and looked somber.
Baldwin allegedly struck a 49-year-old man near his Manhattan apartment. The man was reportedly taken to Lenox Hill Hospital. The actor addressed the situation Twitter.
Baldwin tweeted: "Normally, I would not comment on something as egregiously misstated as today’s story. However, the assertion that I punched anyone over a parking spot is false. I wanted to go on the record stating as much. I realize that it has become a sport to tag people was many negative charges and defaming allegations as possible for the purposes of clickbait entertainment."
He continued:"Fortunately, no matter how reverberating the echos sic, it doesn’t make the statements true."
A spokesperson for the NYPD told People that Baldwin was charged with assault and harassment. TMZ is reporting that there’s evidence Baldwin never punched his accuser, Wojciech Cieszowski, and that it was a case of mutual combat, not assault. When questioned by Page Six Cieszowski walked the line between anger and forgiveness, saying he would "be fine," but that he was "sore."
